Unfortunately, due to a large number of department and building changes, we are not able to host the International Sports Science Symposium on Performance Enhancement and Technology in 2016 as previously planned. Important dates and times will be announced in the fall prior to the next scheduled meeting. Our last symposium drew 250 attendees from around the world, brought together to encourage a dialogue about best practices in sports performance and technology at the University of Oregon (UO) in Eugene, OR. With our past success, it is our hope that we are able to continue this event in coming years!

This symposium, hosted by the Bowerman Sports Science Clinic of the UO Department of Human Physiology, brings together experts from the international sports science community to present cutting edge research and conduct panel discussions on the application of science in today’s competitive sports environment. This symposium is aimed at researchers, scientists, and individuals who are interested in enhancing their knowledge in the areas of Performance Enhancement, Adaptive Technology and Sport, Environmental Physiology, and Drugs and Sport.

We are pleased that up to 12.5 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits were offered through our partner, Oregon Health & Science University, during the 2014 International Sports Science Symposium, and we hope we can continue offering this in future symposiums. Check for updates or contact us to confirm details for 2016.
